New Story – The Thief
I decided to try my hand at another one of Chuck Wendig’s Friday Flash Fiction Challenges – the prompt: A short story of 1000 words or less. Must be crime fiction. Must include guns.
This is, of course, by no means my best writing, but I humbly offer my story. This was a bit of a just for fun project for me to get the juices going before I get on to the Nitty Gritty things I need to be writing today, so here we are.
terrific story! loved it. One of my top 2 favorites of all of them so far.
Great story — beautifully written. I have to admit, I saw it coming. But perhaps that’s because I know a lot of people who settle their grievances with NERF. :) I could just picture this scene, though, and especially loved the line about “how am I going to be a detective if I can’t even figure this out”.
Thank you both for the positive thoughts! :)
Nice one! Had me going for awhile :)
That was spooky and hilarious and downright creepy all at the same time! Love the twist about it all being pretend, and that the dog ate the sandwich! Good job!
Great job! Easy to read, nice twist at the end! My kind of gun porn!
Ha! Highly entertaining. This treatment is my preferred take on gun fiction.
